March was a bad month for writing. Or maybe a bad month in general. I moved, got settled in. Had an exam and now I’m working on my first thesis. I haven’t heard from the publisher yet and even though I respect that they have a lot to do, the waiting has been very disheartening. Maybe that’s why I haven’t been writing.
It changes now.
I don’t know how long I’m going to need to wait, but my life doesn’t stop just because I’m waiting. I need to keep writing. Yesterday I got back into it by writing some Portal fanfiction (don’t judge, GLaDOS got into my heart and head, okay?) Today I’ve spent an hour or so planning and researching for my new novel. In the next few days I’ll also post for free another short story that I wrote a couple of weeks ago. last but not least I have to finish another short story that I can’t wait to share with you all. I call it “Bubble-and-squeak” and it kind of deals with homophobia as a secondary theme. Which is different. I have never done that before.
On top of that I have a thesis to write.
So hopefully I’m going to get out of this rut I’ve been in, and throw myself head first among words and sentences again.
